This is what a country pub should be like, thatched roof, low beamed ceiling, subdued lighting and great food. The added bonus is the range of real ales available.

We spent a week in the picturesque village of Crantock and thoroughly enjoyed several dinners at this pub. However, don't think pub food! The chef here puts together delicious meals at reasonable prices. The atmosphere is great, the service attentive and friendly, the portions generous, and the food is scrumptious. Don't miss this if you're in the Crantock- Newquay area.

Staying in Crantock camping and as of the 13 Aug 2011 the Old Albion Inn which is in the village (opp the Cornishman) is at present closed and a Let Sign outside.

This pub was the place to visit many years back with great food and a great vibe mixed with real cornish charm. Recent visits over the past two years were shocking bad food,dirty,run down..horrid However, visited last week now under new ownership great food and you can even take in your hound. Great to see and good luck to the new team. We will be back..

It is lovely to note that The Old Albion is now open for business, and the To Let sign has vanished, from what i understand there will be some refurbishment to the building over the next year or so, and that it is now under new ownership, good luck and i will be back for a great pint.
